40 FAQ’s :

Q0 Support & Price ?

The course is 12 days more than enough time to be up and running .We offer support for 31 days   . Price – .We base our price on the supply teacher principle  . Given a  pre developed pool of assets 10 hours of coding and development  . That is how long it would take to recreate this course .  That figure does not  include research ,  software ,hosting  , contractor costs or our unique experience and skillset [  thousands of man hours ]   

Q1  Theory ?

Answer –.Our world is divided into verbal thinkers  [the chosen ones] and visual thinkers , it ‘s like handiness, you can use both hands but you tend to favour one over the other . In order to focus visual thinkers need something tangible to fixate on. The basic building blocks of  thought need to be visual in nature  

Q2  Can’t I just  listen ?

Q3 – I don’t have the time

Answer –  Within hours information will stop fading  . You will gain the  ability to switch your focus and concentration on and off .

Q4  I am not interested in testing well  ?

Answer – This is not a trick you are learning to learn more efficiently saving you time in the long run .

Q5 This is like a diet right . Once you stop the pounds pile back on and you are back to step one

Answer – No. After 12 days an aptitude will be ingrained .

Q6  Will I have superpowers like Rain Man ?

Answer –  If your legitimate expectation is to win cycling track gold after a few weeks training then yes, otherwise no . 

Q7  The Digit Span it’s just remembering telephone numbers right ?

Answer – The numbers are a proxy .

Q8 I could score double 10 easily  but I get bored I get distracted

Answer – Prove it ,  How good are you at fighting boredom and blocking out distration while maintaining FOCUS .

Q9 My memory is not the problem?

Answer – If your working memory is exceptional what has been holding you back!

Q10 My memory is great ?

Answer – No ones memory is great .  We are  fooling oursleves .  A curate’s egg is good in places . Can you remember instructions and directions  . Do you ever walk into a room and forgot why  . Have you ever  read a textbook or listened to a lecture zoned out and had to start over .

Q11 The digit span is a terrible game -:)

Answer – It’s not a game, it’s a trainer .

Q12  No exam, no certificates  ?
Answer –  It’s a practice

Q13 I can’t do this ?
Answer –  Don’t over intellectualize .

Q14 No really, I can’t do this I can’t visualise anything  ?
Answer-  Mastering the visual spatial sketch pad takes practice .

Q15 I understand, I get it, I don’t actually have to  score double 10 on the DS do I ?

Answer – Yes  .

Q16  I don’t get it    ?

Answer – The  Football Analogy . [not american  hand oval]    . You need to quickly get the ball under control  redistribute and move on . To make it in football you need a great first touch . To survive your education to get and keep a great job you need  a great working memory .

Q17 Smart drugs are  better right ?

Answer – No . Given clinical library like conditions, smart drugs are crushed  . Smart drugs real usp is that they prepare your mind to put a shift in .  Hard work pays off .

Q18 I already have a great memory for numbers

Answer –  Only numbers ? . Once you master the visual spatial sketch pad . Your days of cramming are over . You can recall anything you want . In any order you want . Over a much longer time frame .

Q19 When do I learn to card count ?

Answer –   With us you are not going to learn how to remember names and faces or decks of card. You are still going to get lost and forgot where you left your keys .

 

Q21 I have seen people count into decks of cards inside 2 minutes and remember them all  . I could never do that ?

Answer – maybe ,maybe not  you are a blank slate . Past success or failure is irrelevent  . Almost everyone however can  learn to rank inside the top 1 percent of the population when it comes to functional working memory .

Q22 This is working but nobody likes me anymore , everyone wants to put me back in my box  ?
Answer – You have outgrown your environment , you need new friends :-).

Q23 This is the internet everything is free you just have to know where to look
Answer – Nothing is really free on the internet

Q24 I could do this myself ?
Answer –  Go for it , Reinvent the wheel .

Q25 This is just a memory Course right ?
Answer – There is nothing wrong with memory courses but we are much more. How you internalize and store information is really, really important

Q26 Expanding on Q25 ?
Answer – Higher order thinking skills depend on memory.We provide a grounding in how to think through the M:O:A:T framework.

Q27 Will I ever use what I have learnt?

Answer – If you are lucky enough to have a job or occupation that requires you to learn new skills, new information, then the answer is every single day .

Q28 This is slow… right ?

Answer . Speed is over rated  . There is nothing wrong with slowing down and thinking. Over the medium and longer time frames.  you will be saving yourself a huge amount of time by buliding on solid foundations .

Q 29 Attention
Answer –  Learning to turn off an inner monologue is the key to directing attention

Q 30 Presentations ?

Answer –  Your message needs to be  concise , simple and direct. Rather than learn your lines impose a clear structure and learn that .

Q31 How do I  think like Einstein ?

Answer –  Language should not be the  only thinking tool in your mental toolbox . If you want to think differently you have to think differently .

Q32 I trust the government knows what it’s doing ?
Answer –  Really …. our system is flawed . If only we were all medium in a size 8 , life would be  simpler. 

Q33 Your course is not that visual

Answer Our free course is text based for assessment reasons – that is how the world is .

Q34 I feel stupid doing this ?

Answer – There is no future in looking the part and failing  .

The main barrier to new learning is emotional not intellectual . Nobody likes to feel stupid . The state of being grossly incompetent  and knowing it  is  a humbling experience . It makes no difference  first job , a company director wrestling with new technology , perhaps you are a  20 stone  marine . The only thing worse is knowing that this state of affairs will persist  !   

Q35 Expertise takes 10000 hours so what is the point of starting anything new ?

Answer It takes 10000 Hours to become an expert but….according to research it only takes 20 hours or 45 minutes dedicated and productive practice each day for 1 month to get really good at something . Perfect is the enemy of better

Q36 I have failed before    ?

So.. The silicon valley mantra . Ever tried, ever failed, never mind, try again, fail again, fail better .  Einstein was always smart but he was no child prodigy .   Prodigies exhibit exceptional functional working memory . It does not matter how smart  . How high your IQ  . If  your functional working memory is not exceptional you   end up spinning your wheels .  Find out for yourself what happens when the wheels don’t spin , maybe the engine breaks or the steering fails but you are still one step closer to the finishing line . Adapt and overcome . 

Q37 Is this for me ?

This course is for everybody . Young and old working or in full time education  . Memory is the universal key to unlocking potential  . Connections increase massively when  memory span and  span persistance is stetched over  a longer time frame  . Without connection creative and conceptual leaps will not happen  unless you buy the  time to connect the dots.
